About the center

Technical Innovation Center provides training, consulting, and publications in TRIZ. The old About page dated that work to the years after TRIZ came to America in the early 1990s.

Services

Training on the old site included virtual classes leading to Associate certification through the Altshuller Institute, further levels of proficiency, and onsite workshops of about five days developed with the customer. Consulting pairs TIC with a client’s own experts. Publishing produced English TRIZ books used in the courses and sold to the public, with volume discounts for training.

Education note from the 2018 homepage

That page said the traditional curriculum teaches language and mathematics, and that problem solving is a third component schools do not teach as a subject of its own. It called TRIZ the missing strand for a STEM program. The diagram below is the knowledge-pyramid graphic from the same era of the site.

Knowledge pyramid from the old site. The base is labeled TRIZ. Above it are mathematics and language, then rows of professions, under the question who needs problem solving skills.

The old page named Valery Kraev as an associate. A biography for him was not in the text kept here.

The old biography page for Gunter Ladewig described PRIMA Performance Ltd. in Ontario, work from small firms through Fortune 500 companies, and Canadian and IBM awards in 1990, 1992, and 1993.

TODO. Confirm whether the public site should be named for the Center, the Institute, or both. Confirm that the Gunter.jpg portrait is the biography’s Gunter Ladewig, and whether the PRIMA paragraph should stay in this shorter form.
